Itinerary

We start busy. We leave Quito first hour towards the north. Before reaching Otavalo we’ll stop to appreciate “El Pisque” Canyon. Once in Otavalo, you can explore the traditional Indigenous Market to stroll around the town and the surrounding streets. Remember you can buy the goods you find there. In the afternoon you set off to Pijal, located in a viewpoint from where you can see both the Imbabura volcano and the San Pablo Lake. In the community you will visit the Sacha Warmi project. A project led by the women of the community. There you will learn how to prepare “ají” —great for those who love spicy. Later we will arrive at the beautiful, historical hacienda of Pinsaqui where we will stay overnight. Enjoy a typical Andean cocktail as a welcome, and learn about the history of this place.
